“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
– Calvin Coolidge
Interests
Photography
My main hobby and passion is photography. I listed my recent and “best” work in my Photo gallery which you can find by following this link. I would be honoured if you would take a look at it.
Business and Investing
Since I can remember I have been fascinated with all aspects of doing business. This is observable by my current interest in starting-up and assisting businesses with my expertise in marketing and statistics.
Besides assisting business with my passion for marketing, I am also very interested in investing and the financial mechanics at play.
Reading
I am somewhat of what other people would call a “bookworm”. Adding to my previous statements, most books I read are on the topics of marketing, management, finance, investing and psychology.
Want to know a few of my recommendations?
- “Start with why” by Simon Sinek
- “Discipline of market leaders” by Michael Treacy & Fred Wiersema
- “Hacking Growth” by Sean Ellis & Morgan Brown
- “The little book of common sense investing” by John C. Bogle
- “The intelligent investor” by Benjamin Graham
- “Rich dad poor dad” by Robert T. Kiyosaki
Chinese 你好吗?
I have followed the beginner course Chinese on both The Hague University of applied Sciences and during my exchange at 西交利物浦大学 (XJTLU). I am still very much interested in the Chinese culture and language and I am trying to maintain and improve my Chinese skills.
